Who am I?
My name is Katie and I am from a small town in South Carolina. Ever since I was a little girl I have had a passion for telling people about Jesus and knew from a young age that God was calling me to be a missionary.
When I graduated high school (after going on various missions trips throughout my high school years) I left home with HIM (heartland international ministries) and went to an orphanage in India for 6 months. When I returned home I asked God what I should do next and he said: nursing school. I had never wanted anything to do with medical things growing up, but I knew if God wanted me to be a nurse then it was the best thing for me and it would glorify His name. After many all nighters, tears, frustrations, failures, and endless hours of studying, Gods grace pulled me through and I became a licensed RN in May 2016. It was the best thing I ever did, I absolutely love everything about nursing and God knew I would!
While in school I felt God wanted me to be trained as a midwife as well so in July 2017 I did the year long Birth Attendant School with YWAM in Perth Australia.
I now use my medical knowledge to share healthcare education (coupled with the gospel) with underprivileged communities around the world.
What am I doing NOW?
January 2020 God gave me what seemed to be 2 impossible tasks. I took a complete blind leap of crazy faith and said yes to Him for both of them because I know that if either of these things will happen, it will be Him making them come together (and that is the best way to get things done)! This last year I have had the HUGE privilege watching Him take these two visions and turn them into a reality! It is an honor to walk beside Him and there is no place I would rather be than by His side.
Vision #1:
I am currently working with Brilla Life Ministries in central Mexico to open a pregnancy resource center. The area we are in is known as the "heart of darkness" so we know this is exactly where we should be :)

Vision #2:
I am also working on getting a children's book published. It is titled "You Can Too" and it is about my life as a missionary (so far). My desire is to inspire young readers (and their parents who read it to them ;) ) that no matter who they are, where they are, or how old or young they are, there is always something they can do with God to reach those around Him with His love.
What is my vision/calling?
>I am called to have a heart for every nation, just as God does, and to love the one in front of me, just as Jesus did and to do it all through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

>I have a huge heart to bring basic primary healthcare education to underprivileged communities. "An ounce of prevention is better than a kilo of treatment"
>I am called to nurture and heal, not only physically but spiritually. I am called to help bring freedom to peoples lives and bring revival to the nations.

>These may seem like big dreams but I serve a bigger God! I simply desire to live my life completely surrendered to Him; to follow where He leads and share His love with all His children!
